Project managed in 2022, funded by Essex Council with Central Saint Martins, UAL.
BA Fine Art students from CSM and artist Mark Storor were in residence in Jaywick, Essex, reconnecting with the local community after a break due to the pandemic. Mark was based in the town for six weeks, with students visiting on three occasions, using differen venues as a base to work and meet people, including Inclusion Ventures, Jaywick Community Resource Centre, Jaywick Martello Tower, The Never Say Die Pub and Sir Martin Frobisher's Academy primary school. Towards the end of the project, we set up a bell tent in Garden Road, for people to participate in the work and discuss the project.
Mark also worked with the Friendship Group, local musicians and Sandy's Farm. These photos are a selection of work by the different artists involved.
